Billy Bob - I assume when you say that it bit the dust you mean that you no longer have it. It either was torn/destroyed or lost. Same thing happened to mine but I was lucky enough to find it and put it back on. The part is available at the dealer at a nominal cost I recall but when I found mine I took the precaution of using rubber cement in the groove before puting it back on and haven't had any more problem with it. I did figure that since it came on it, it was probably important to put it back on.
